The ruins of Whistlepipe Gully
Today we're exploring both the Mundy Regional Park and Lesmurdie Falls National Park in Forrestfield and Lesmurdie, respectively. Whistlepipe Gully is an amazing location, situated only 30 minutes from the Perth CBD. Within, you'll find ruins of quite an interesting house. This was built by an architect named Wallace Greenham in the 1960s. It was in a Japanese style and was incorporated into the surrounding boulders and brook. He even had a pelton water wheel to generate power. The land was eventually resumed for park use and unfortunately, the house was demolished in the early 1980s. Later in the video, we continue hiking along a 7km loop, also checking out the Lesmurdie Falls. Most importantly, however, I let everyone know about my new pants.
