Camping in the Kwolyin ghost town

Today we're camping in and exploring the Wheatbelt ghost town of Kwolyin - found on the Bruce Rock-Quairading Road, about a 2.5 hour drive from Perth. Kwolyin has been turned into an excellent free campsite by the Shire of Bruce Rock, situated on the former towns oval.

Throughout the video, we explore the remains of the town which included a hall, school, mechanic, shop, tennis club, railway station/yard, a state hotel and a semi-abandoned church. We also climb several granite outcrops including Coarin Rock.

On the camping side of things, I test out some new gear including a new ground mat and a changing tent. One was much more of a success over the other.
