Royalty in Halls Head - The Castle Fun Park
Built by George Kaspar and his son, Ron in the early 1980s, this castle was originally for the Halls Head Estates (just south of Mandurah). By 1988, however, it was part of the Castle Fun Park. This was well known and fondly remembered by many in Perth as it was a popular stopping point on trips down South. These days, it's unfortunately more known as an abandoned ruin - but let's delve into the history of George and his castles - and hopefully what the future holds!
June 2026 edit: The castle has been restored! It now lives on as part of a childcare centre. Scroll past the sources to see several updated photos.

The Castle Restored!
A big thanks to IQ Construction for reaching out and providing the photos below. The castle was restored and is now part of a childcare centre playground. A fitting result!
